Pickleball has started in Clinton and we are trying to raise awareness in the community. There is a 4th of July Celebration at the Clinton Riverfront and we are having “open play” from 9:00 to noon on the tennis courts right by the pool (2nd Ave. S. and Riverfront). We have 5 courts lined, using 4 portable nets and one existing tennis net lowered.
We would like to extend an invitation to all area players to join us. There is a parade along the riverfront at 1:00 and some of us are planning to walk, carry paddles and balls and hand out pamphlets about pickleball and times of play. We’ll try to wear our red, white and blue for the parade (if you’re interested in doing that). There are other activities all day if you would like to stick around for those, ending with the Clinton LumberKings baseball game and fireworks. We may take up a free will donation for the 4th of July Committee, since we are not paying them for tournament entries.
Any questions, feel free to e-mail or call us.
