Meetup

The QCPC has subscribed to a new program called Meetup to try to help Pickleball players find where other members are playing. We’ve had players checking out several locations trying to find someone to play with, and we’re hoping this app will help. Using the Meetup program you just RSVP to the date and location where you are playing. You’ll also be able to see who else is going to be at that location. We would like to have you start using this program starting this Sunday, so please check it out and sign up now at http://www.meetup.com or download the app on your phone or tablet and sign up through the app. If you have any questions or problems signing up, please comment on this and someone will contact you.

We encourage you to sign up for this program online with your computer or download the app for your smart phone and create your account there. Once you have your account created you can search for or locate our page here:

Downloading Meetup for iOS or Android

If you have an iPhone, you can download the Meetup iPhone app directly from Apple’s App Store:


If you’re using an Android device, your version of the Meetup app can be found at Google’s Play Store:

A Meetup Group is a local community of people. A Meetup Group hosts Meetups, which are face to face meetings that happen in real life between members and Organizers.

You can find Find a Meetup Group link at the top of any Meetup page.

On the Find a Meetup Group page, you’ll be able to see the location, description, and topics of Meetup Groups. You can also browse individual Meetups within all the groups in your area.

Join a Meetup:

  • To find a Meetup near you, click here
  • You can change the zip code, click ‘All Meetups’ to filter Meetups by category, or enter a specific search term
  • When you find a Meetup you’d like to join, head to the homepage and click ‘Join us!’
  • Follow the prompts to submit your membership request to the organizer. Depending on the Meetup’s settings, you may be able to join immediately. Otherwise, you’ll be notified once your membership is approved

On our mobile apps:

  • To find a Meetup near you, tap the ‘Groups’ tab and then tap the magnifying glass icon
  • You’ll be able to enter a search term (or select one of the Meetup categories suggested below). You can adjust the search radius as well
  • Tap on a Meetup that interests you and then tap ‘Join Us’ on the homepage
  • Follow the prompts to submit your membership request to the organizer. Depending on the Meetup’s settings, you may be able to join immediately. Otherwise, you’ll be notified once your membership is approved
 

 

RSVP to a Meetup:

  • Find the Meetup event you’d like to attend on the Meetup group’s calendar
  • Click on the RSVP button to view the details of the Meetup
  • Under the “Are you going” header on the right side of the page, RSVP by clicking ‘Yes’ or ‘No’
  • You may be prompted to answer RSVP questions set up by the organizer, or indicate how many guests you’re bringing
  • When you’re done, click ‘Finish RSVP’ and you’ll see yourself on the attendance list on the right-hand side of the page

On our mobile apps:

  • Navigate to the Meetup group whose event you’d like to attend
  • Tap the event on the Meetup’s calendar
  • Select ‘RSVP’ and follow the prompts to complete your RSVP

Change your RSVP:

  • Head to the Meetup event in question
  • Click the ‘Change RSVP’ button
  • Update your RSVP as necessary, then click ‘Finish RSVP’ to complete the change

On our mobile apps:

  • Head to the Meetup event in question
  • Tap the ‘Your RSVP’ button and the RSVP window will appear
  • Adjust your RSVP as necessary, then tap ‘RSVP’ to finish making changes
